CINEMA: “DOCTOR MATEO”

Yesterday we mentioned that the film “Knight & Day” will be shot over several days in Sevilla, starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Díaz and we observed that these kinds of events are a great means of promoting tourism. Well, to confirm that statement, we have the case of “Doctor Mateo”, a Spanish series already in its second season.
The setting of “Doctor Mateo” is Asturias, chosen because you can find everything here: beaches, rivers, woods, mountains, villages…and it is one of these villages where part of the filming takes place, in Lastres (called “San Martín del Sella” in the series), a small fishing village in East Asturias.
Thanks to this series, Lastres has experienced a huge boost in tourism, with an increase in the number of visitors, especially over the summertime.
