PUEBLOS: “CASTRO CALDELAS”

In Orense, a province in the autonomous region of Galicia, we find the riverside and mountainside area of Castro Caldelas. Riverside because it lies next to the Río Sil (River Sil) and mountainside because the end of the municipality is built in the mountains.
Its oak and chestnut forests and its enclave in the zone called Ribeira Sacra, a natural and cultural space characterised by its medieval past and vine-production, makes Castro Caldelas a frequently visited place by visitors from all over the world.
