Today, we shall take you along the shrines route within the surroundings of the Monastery of Saint Toribio de Liébana (Potes), in the mountainside of La Viorna.
This route runs through pure countryside, between magical holm-oak forests and beautiful, dreamy spots.
You’ll have fabulous views of the National Park of the Picos de Europa as you walk along the Shrines Route.

Today, we’d like to invite you to go with us to a village of great tourist and cultural interest, set deep in the countryside: Potes.
Potes is the capital of the municipality of Liébana, in the province of Cantabria, 117km from Santander and close to the Picos de Europa National Park, the National Parador of Fuente Dé and the monastery of Santo Toribio.
